Full disclosure: I live in the temperate mid Atlantic climate of central North Carolina. So, while we don’t experience harsh winters, the temperatures definitely drop below freezing and if we’re lucky the ice storms turn to snow…though that’s becoming rarer recently.
I love being cozy. Whether I’m layering up to walk the dog outside or staying in for a movie on the couch, here are the essential items you need to stay cozy this winter!
Outerwear
If you’re running errands I linked three women’s jacket options that will keep you warm. I love a great neutral palette, so these are perfect to layer over your favorite looks and will mix and match well to create versatile options for capsule wardrobes. These have high collars and/or hoods, but you could easily add a pop of color with a great beanie or bright scarf to add a layer of warmth.
Footwear
I like simple footwear in the winter, something I can slip into easily. If I’m out and about I like these Ugg Ultra Mini boots. They are super convenient and feel basically like street legal slippers! Speaking of slippers, once I’m home I’m a huge fan of these inexpensive faux fur options linked here from Old Navy faux fur slippers.

Even when it’s warm outside, I like to huddle under a blanket when I’m reading or blogging on the couch. These two faux fur options are super soft and luxurious and totally fit the bill! You can’t go wrong with either!
