Previously I posted about things I was looking forward to as we transitioned to fall.
One of the things I wrote about was the change in season marked a change in fashion. Sort of. In North Carolina we waver between crisp mornings, sweltering afternoons, capped off by chilly evenings. So, one best be prepared to dress in layers!
If you’re like me, you want options that maximize comfort, easily work for a variety of settings, but are still stylish. Check out some of my favorite fall fashion pieces that easily transition between the myriad of temps we experience in the early southern autumn!
Vegan Suede Pants
Banana Republic has a great line of vegan suede and leather options that instantly transform your look to fall.
I’ve been wearing these vegan suede pants layered with tank tops and cardigans to work flexibly throughout the day. From online meetings, running errands, and everything in between these pants are comfortable and dare I say I feel stylish when I wear them! I can easily add a chunky sweater as the temps cool. These pants are definitely in my weekly rotation!

Sweater Dress
These sweater dress options from Gap are kind of perfect for when you want to look put together, but also feel kind of slouchy. They are comfy for work from home meetings and you can easily add a pair of leggings to wear to an evening out or to the field for ball practice (hello, fellow Sports Moms, thinking of you!). Kind of disappointing there are no pockets, but throw on your favorite crossbody bag and you’re all set!
Boots
Sorel Chelsea Ankle Boots
These wedge boots are super comfortable, add a little height for us vertically challenged girlies, and work well with jeans, leggings, and tights. If you’re out and about doing fun fall family activities, reach for these, you will not be disappointed.
I love mixing and matching neutral palettes for fall. What are you wearing for the new change in season?

One response to “What to Wear: Three Pieces to Transition to Fall”
[…] One of the things that can be frustrating about fall is dressing for multiple seasons in one day. See my above statement about crisp mornings and blazing afternoons. But overall, I love fall fashion. I appreciate a chunky sweater and a comfy pair of boots. I can get behind a cozy scarf to tie it all together. I’ll add that I like furry slippers, so when I’m running the kids to school or driving through to pick up groceries, I slip on a pair and feel semi-dressed! I linked some of my fall favorites in this post! […]
