Mental Mishap

I’m usually not a quantitative person, but learning the metrics of successful content has helped me think about and focus my writing and how I share my simple musings.

What the Numbers Tell Me

I am so grateful for this opportunity to learn and grow in new ways. It hasn’t been easy to be vulnerable and share my personal writing, and while I still think I’m timid, I’m working on it. And that progress feels good. Thanks for following me on this journey. I have a few pieces in draft form that I want to polish and share in the months ahead.

Technically, I learned how to design a website. I have never done this before! I had some good help from reliable experts, but I spent considerable time building the site in a way that represented how I wanted to organize my writing. Still so much progress to be made, but I am proud of the effort, time, and attention I put into it. I own that I am a total novice and I am okay with that…for now!

I have some areas for improvement when it comes to generating social media content! I have learned so much in this first quarter, but wow, it’s definitely a work in progress for me. Consistency is key and I think I have a decent stride going. The good news is I’m learning so much from the accounts and bloggers I follow – I always used mentor texts when I taught writing, so now I’m leaning into my teachings!

Connections

I have been so inspired by other moms, bloggers, and content creators. Connecting with others and making sense of my experiences, mostly centered around parenting and teaching, was my original intention for starting a blog, and what a treat it has been to make those connections!

So, as I look ahead to the second quarter of the year, I urge you to keep reading. I love reading your comments, they are so validating and affirming! If you find a post particularly resonant, share it, repost it, and let me know!

xoxo,
